About Us

Your Child Is in Great Hands

Our Story

Alexander House Nursery is founded by Cleo Thomas who has over 30 years of childcare, education, and play experience.

For over 15 years she and her team have made a difference to the children of Wandsworth, Balham and Clapham, by providing play and learn classes through the Gymboree Play & Music programme and it is now their mission to continue to make a difference to the children and families by continuing to provide the highest quality early years care and education in Wandsworth.

Our Philosophy

“A Foundation For A Brighter Future”

Starting nursery is your child’s first step into building that foundation they require for this big exciting world out there.

Alexander House Nursery is all about caring for children and what makes them tick; keeping them safe and educating them so those important next steps into school, and life, are made as easy and as bright as can be.

Our Approach

At Alexander House Nursery our goal is to encourage independence and creativity. We aim to nurture, care for, and inspire every child in our care and lay the foundation that they need for their future.

Your children will thrive and develop new skills in a safe and engaging way and will leave us with a solid foundation ready for their next step in life, well equipped for next stage in their journey.

The Nursery offers the highest quality, professional childcare, and pre-school education for children from age 2 to 5 years old.

As a family-run nursery, this safe and warm environment gives you peace of mind while your child is at their home, away from home.

We believe in learning through play and the Curiosity approach. These approaches allow children to learn by using their natural curiosity. Allowing them to grow at their own pace by exploring, discovering and figure things out in a natural environment both indoors and outdoors.
